- That's part of the problem I have with the Saitek software. The option to configure settings, adjust deadzones, and calibrate does not allow me to access any of the options in the settings tab. If this Saitek shenanigans continues, I'll have to forgo the throttle I like with the x55 for the actually working CH pairing!

Unless you own a Saitek X52 which has the rebooting problem. That thing constantly loses its calibration. =) Seems there's a big issue with older X52s, new ones have updated firmware. Just too bad the stick has to be sent to saitek for upgrade. Thank you again for your help. After a closer read of your user manual and making the sensativity and null zone adjustments I was able to calibrate my joystick. Actually I had to use your calibration portion of FSUIPC to make it work. I don't understand how people with the Saitek throttle quadrant can even use them without your software. However, when it comes to my Saitek X-52 HOTAS (joystick and throttle), something weird was happening. Chunks of the main joystick rotation were being skipped, and the twist-grip axis was showing as off to the left when centred. “Basic calibration issue” I thought, “I’ll just go to the calibration screen and re-calibrate.

Unsurprisingly, I am seeing a lot of posts about issues with joysticks. Having supported Microsoft hardware (I really miss my Force Feedback 2 that got stolen!) way back when, I've seen a literally thousands of joystick problems in my time, likely tens of thousands. In the modern age of auto-settings and Plug and Play type stuff, the fact that calibration of analog devices can be important quite often gets forgotten. Usb audio driver download. Here are the steps to calibrate a joystick in Windows:
Hold the Windows key and tap R (then let up on both keys).
In the Run dialog, type 'joy.cpl' without quotes on the 'Open' line and click OK.
Choose the controller you wish to calibrate and and click Properties. You will see a screen where you can see button presses and axis movements.
Click the Settings tab up top and then click Calibrate.
Run through the entire wizard and see if the issue's resolved.
Note that if you have a separate throttle, such as for the X55 Rhino or many standalone ones, click Next twice and tick the box for showing raw numbers, center the throttle using the number range, then click to go back and start from square one in the Wizard. I really wish they'd fix this issue but it's unlikely they ever will.
