Army Artep Manuals
Infantry leaders must understand this manual before they can train their companies using ARTEP 7-8 MTP, and ARTEP 7-8 Drill. They should use this manual as a set along with the publications listed. United States Army Field Manuals are published by the United States Army's Army Publishing Directorate. As of 27 July 2007, some 542 field manuals were in use. They contain detailed information and how-tos for procedures important to soldiers serving in the field. They are usually available to the. Beginning in 2018, the U.S. Army began to field-test a new Army Combat Fitness Test. The components will become the core of the service's fitness program.If approved, it will replace a regimen that has been used since 1980 when running shoes were just being introduced and soldiers did their workouts in boots. The Army Training and Evaluation Program (ARTEP) The Army Training and Evaluation Program (ARTEP) Mission Training Plans (MTPs) can assist with METL development and assessment. According to FM 25-101, Battle Focused Training, pg 2-3, 'the MTP is a good start point for selecting collective tasks to support the mission.'
